In 1986, my Amstrad PCW 9512 had 512k RAM, and took two minutes to load Locoscript before I could start work.

In 1996, my PC had 5 Mb RAM, and took two minutes to load Windows 95 and Office before I could start work.

In 2005, my PC has 1Gb RAM, and takes two minutes to load Windows XP, anti-virus, anti-spam and Office before I can start work.

In 2055, my telepathic-interface sensotronic data manipulator will have 8Zb RAM, and take two minutes to load Windows Hyper-3000, anti-zuton, sxzz-filter, warble control and Office before I can start work.
